Malaria is killing a child in Africa every 30 seconds, but most of the world doesn't know. We need to be talking about it. Malaria is the deadliest plague in the history of mankind, but it's not on the news. Help us broadcast the message and make an impact.

The call to fight malaria is urgent, and it's up to all of us to make a difference. So, if you’re up to the call, here are several ways you can get involved and make a difference.

KNOW:

Learn about malaria and how we are working to beat it. Then, share what you learn with others to build awareness about this disease. We need your help to get the word out about this issue. Download and print materials from our online library. If you feel called to do more, contact us about leading the effort in your community.

ACT:

Get involved in the fundraising to save lives. Join the global grassroots effort to raise $75 million to end malaria deaths in Africa. Plan an activity. Host a reception. Pledge to make a recurring gift to impact 100 lives. Encourage others to stand with you. Malaria is 100% preventable and treatable, and this is a fight we can win...but only with your help.

Sleepout: Get your friends or youth group to have a sleepout to end malaria. Here are some instructions for building a mosquito net and a video to help.
Impact 100: If $10 saves a life, what does it take to save 100 lives? Find out by planning and hosting a special reception or dinner to make a huge impact in the fight against malaria.
A grassroots movement: To truly beat malaria, we need everyone to play a part. You have the power to do something that saves a child from the suffering caused by malaria. Plan a car wash, bake sale or even a 3-on-3 basketball tournament. Activity that supports this fight and builds community awareness is a great way to show your energy and compassion for making a difference.

PRAY:

Ask God to lead your heart and encourage the spirit of others to help our brothers and sisters in Africa to overcome this deadly disease.

O God, we have heard the cries of children and families as they seek to be free
of malaria. Please guide our hearts as we step forward in the fight against this
preventable and treatable disease. Help us not to be afraid. Help us to keep our
focus on you and the direction you are leading us by the power of your Holy
Spirit. Amen.

Lord, today we celebrate our capacity to love through your gifts. You have
invited us to love one another as you love us all. Today, we share in healing
ministry as we join efforts with others who are determined to eliminate deaths
from malaria. As we participate in Imagine No Malaria, we demonstrate our
love for others, and God’s love shines through us. Amen.

Dear God, we are thankful for the guiding presence of your Holy Spirit. Our
prayer is that through Imagine No Malaria you would help bring into alignment
our words and our deeds. We really do want others to see Jesus in us and to
believe that Jesus is the Son of God. Amen.
